If you are trying to picture what your wedding day will feel like here, the easiest way to start is with the flow. Where you say your vows. Where guests hang out with a drink. Where everyone sits down for dinner. Where the dance floor opens up.

At The Promise Gardens of the Adirondacks, you are not stuck doing everything in one spot. You can move through the property and use different spaces for different moments, so the day feels natural for you and comfortable for your guests.

The Meadows for Vows With the Mountains in View

The Meadows is one of our ceremony options, and it is all about the view. The Three Sister Mountains surround the meadows, and flowering pear and apple trees line the back. We also have a custom wooden arbor that faces the Adirondack mountains, which many couples use for their ceremony.

The Secret Garden 

If you want a more garden focused setting, The Secret Garden is another option we offer. It is also a popular place for a first look and portraits. The antique blue doors are part of this space, and they show up as a simple “something blue” detail without you having to add anything.

The Secret Garden arbor can also be used for ceremony moments, including a grand entrance.

Cocktail Hour on the Garden Terrace

The Garden Terrace is a great fit for cocktail hour. It is covered, and it connects The White Willow Barn to The Hudson Barn. That connection matters because guests can mingle without feeling crowded.

The covered walkway includes hanging bistro lights, with a stamped concrete terrace underneath. We also include high top tables for cocktail hour, so guests have a place to set down a drink and settle in.

Dinner in the White Willow Barn

The White Willow Barn can host dinner, and depending on your guest count, it can also host dancing. There is also a patio on the front of the barn that works well for cocktail hour.

For reception seating, we include hand crafted farm tables with mahogany Chiavari chairs. One detail couples ask about a lot is our 12 foot farm table made from original beams from the barn.

Dancing and Late Night Energy in the Hudson Barn

When it is time to shift into dancing, The Hudson Barn is set up for it. It is a historic 1800s barn with an impressive crystal chandelier. Inside, you have a 20 foot bar and lounge seating. There is also an indoor cocktail lounge area.

The Hudson Barn connects back out to The Garden Terrace, plus a deck with outdoor furnishings. Some guests end up floating between the dance floor, the lounge, and the outdoor seating, depending on the moment.

Getting Ready in the Grace Barn

The Grace Barn is our prep space for you and your party before walking down the aisle. It includes antique mirrors and beauty stations. It is a good place to gather your people, take photos, and get ready without rushing.

If It Rains, You Still Have Options

If the weather shifts on you, ceremonies can be held in either the Hudson Barn or the White Willow Barn. You do not have to change the whole plan just because you need to move indoors.

Photo Spots You Can Actually Plan For

If you are building a timeline, a few locations are worth calling out. The walkway to The Wooded Creek is used for private first looks and portraits. The creek is also a quiet spot for portraits during the day.

Stone pathways wind through the gardens to The Wishing Fountain, which is an easy place to stop for photos without disappearing for too long. And after dinner, some couples like to pull guests toward the fire pit, with hand crafted Adirondack chairs, for a slower moment before the night ends.

What We Include With Your Spaces

A few things that are already here and ready for you:

For ceremony seating, we include natural wood folding chairs with white padded seats, and we also list light wooden garden chairs with white padded seats for ceremonies.

For comfort, we provide commercial heaters and fans as needed for the patio and barns. The White Willow Barn and The Grace Barn have air conditioning and heat.

For accessibility, we have Adirondack style men’s and ladies restrooms, a handicap accessible walkway up to The Hudson Barn, and handicap bathrooms. The property is wheelchair accessible with ADA compliant facilities.

We also list a champagne wall and vineyard wooden chairs as additional offerings.

The Promise Gardens can accommodate parties up to 150 guests.

Can We Tour The Promise Gardens?

Absolutely, we’d love to show you the barns and grounds. Tours are available by appointment only. Please contact us to schedule your property tour.

Do You Host Weddings Year Round?

Dates are available to book Friday to Sunday, May through October. We also offer micro style weddings during the week for 50 to 100 guests.

Where Can We Have Our Ceremony If It Rains?

Ceremonies can be held in either the Hudson Barn or in our new White Willow Barn.
