I’m Terri Larson, owner of The Promise Gardens, and the heart behind this private garden estate.
I grew up in a small town in Vermont, where I learned to value natural beauty, hard work, and timeless charm. That early love of landscapes, old farmhouses, and meaningful places shaped the vision I carry into The Promise Gardens today. From the moment I first saw this property, I felt an immediate connection. Its beauty, character, and quiet sense of peace felt deeply meant to be.
The Promise Gardens is especially meaningful to me because it was built through years of family vision, creativity, and hard work. What was once an old working farm has been thoughtfully transformed into the estate it is today, with every garden and barn shaped with care and intention. I personally designed the gardens and reimagined the barns, and together, as a family, we built something that feels both beautiful and deeply personal.
I share this life with my husband Tim, my son Thor, and our beloved animals. We feel incredibly fortunate to call the Adirondacks home, and it is a joy to welcome couples into this place for such a meaningful season of life.

Meet rachel
Client Experience & Marketing Coordinator
Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, but currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rachel has a postgraduate degree in Hospitality with a concentration in meetings and events management. Upon graduating from one of the top Hospitality colleges in the country, The University of Nevada Las Vegas, Rachel began her career in the wedding industry as she was hired by the only five-star hotel and casino in Las Vegas, the Wynn & Encore.
During her time at the Wynn, Rachel assisted on over 1,400 weddings, large and small, and was able to gain insight on all things wedding! Her professionalism and attention to detail brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure every detail of your wedding is executed flawlessly. Rachel believes that it's the small details that make a wedding truly remarkable. From the initial consultation to the last dance, she is here to guarantee that every element of your celebration is perfection!
In addition to being the Client Experience and Marketing Coordinator, Rachel enjoys running, traveling and spending time with her family! Rachel is excited to connect with you and help guide you through your journey at The Promise Gardens!
Meet Chelsea
Estate manager of the promise gardens
Born and raised in the Adirondacks, Chelsea is proud to call the mountains her home - and there's no better backdrop for love stories than the one right outside her door. She brings a warm, welcoming presence and a passion for people to her role as Estate Manager at The Promise Gardens.
Having tied the knot herself in 2024 with her husband Stephen, Chelsea understands firsthand the emotions and excitement that come with your wedding day. What she loves most about The Promise Gardens is watching each couple leave their own unique mark on the space, transforming it into their home for an evening.
When she's not at The Promise Gardens, you can find Chelsea out on the lake or exploring the mountains with her husband and their fur baby, Maple. Come wintertime, she trades the trails for her sewing machine, channeling her creativity in any way she can.
