We host weddings only, which gives us the freedom to focus entirely on how your day takes place across the property. With multiple barns, gardens, and gathering spaces, personalization here is less about adding more and more details, and more about choosing how you want the experience to move.

Choosing Spaces That Fit Your Guest Experience

Personalization starts with how your guests move through the property. Some couples choose to hold their ceremony in the Meadows, with views of Three Sisters Mountain, while others prefer the more enclosed feel of the Secret Garden with its antique blue doors. Both options create very different guest experiences without requiring extra design elements.

After the ceremony, guests often transition naturally to the Garden Terrace. This covered space connects the White Willow Barn and the Hudson Barn, making it easy for guests to mingle and settle in without confusion or crowding. From there, dinner is commonly hosted in the White Willow Barn, with dancing later in the Hudson Barn. Having separate spaces allows each part of the celebration to feel distinct while still connected.

Using What is Already Included to Shape the Look

Many couples personalize their wedding by working with what is already part of the venue. For ceremonies, we provide natural wood folding chairs with white padded seats. For receptions, handcrafted farm tables and mahogany Chiavari chairs are included. These pieces create a clean foundation that works with many styles, from simple table arrangements to more layered designs.

Because these essentials are already on site, couples often focus their design choices on florals, table details, and personal touches rather than sourcing large rentals.

Creating Meaningful Moments Throughout the Day

Personalization does not have to be scheduled into every minute. Some of the most meaningful moments happen in quieter spaces. The wooded creek is often used for first looks and portraits, giving couples time together before guests arrive. The Wishing Fountain and surrounding garden paths offer another option for photos and short pauses during the day.

Later in the evening, guests often gather around the fire pit, seated in Adirondack chairs. This space becomes a place for conversation rather than a planned activity, which many couples appreciate as the night winds down.

Working with Required Vendors

To keep planning clear and organized, all catering and beverages must be arranged through our preferred catering companies. Outside caterers and outside alcohol are not permitted. We also require a month out planner chosen from our preferred vendor list. This structure helps ensure that everyone involved understands the property, the flow of the day, and the expectations on site.

These requirements are especially helpful for couples planning from out of town, as they provide consistency and experienced support.

Guest Comfort and Logistics

Parking is available for up to 30 cars on site. For guest safety, shuttle service is required due to local road conditions. Many couples find that this actually enhances the experience, as guests arrive together and stay present throughout the celebration.

The Promise Gardens is an event only property and does not offer overnight lodging. Couples typically encourage guests to stay nearby and treat the wedding as a shared experience rather than a single evening.

What to Plan Separately

While many essential elements are included, there are a few items that couples plan independently. Chair setup and takedown for ceremonies is not included. Bonfires require advance permission from the fire department and may not always be possible. Green venue rules apply, including the use of biodegradable materials and battery powered candles only.
